Adventure Newlywed Session in Index, WA

We first met these lovely folks at their good friends' elopement this past summer. They also tied the knot this year, but the pandemic meant that it was a very tiny elopement at their home in Florida instead of the two postponed wedding celebrations they planned, and then had to cancel. One constant through all the upheaval was that they wanted to honeymoon in the PNW, somewhere with snow and beautiful woods. So while they didn't really elope on this trip, they wanted photos to share the announcement with friends and family that they had tied the knot! So we met up with them in the winter at their adorable rental cabin in the Cascades, and wandered around the snowy woods and river banks on a rare delightfully sunny winter day. It's always such a joy when we get to see the same folks again, especially when they live all the way across the country! It was an awesome day, and a great reminder that you don't *have* to do anything to elope (yes, even hiring a photographer is optional), and if you'd rather get fun beautiful wedding portraits on your honeymoon, you can sure as heck do that instead! It's really whatever floats your boat.
