Autumn Backcountry Adventure in the Okanogan-Wenatchee Wilderness

After Christina & Mitchell's wonderful elopement with family, we met up with them the next day for a more challenging hike so they could really see and explore a lot of the incredible terrain that Winthrop and the Northern Cascades has to offer. With the recent rainfall, I was nervous the conditions would make the area a no-go, but luckily it was dry to safely navigate and the sun was out over the freshly snowcapped peaks! After a long and beautiful ramble through the incredible fall foliage, we hopped across a very long boulder field, scrambled down to an incredible alpine lake & took in all the gorgeous views. It was a rare, sunny and bluebird day with nobody else in sight, and we had the incredible sights and sounds of this beautiful lake all to ourselves for the evening. These are some of my favorite images I've ever captured, and I'm so grateful that these two were down for any adventure and a bit more hiking! It truly paid off in spades. They wandered around the lake, did some fly-fishing, lots of boulder hopping, and of course, we had to make time for snacks and favorite backpacking meals too. To see the full day one of their amazing destination wedding, follow the link below:
