Agh, there’s so much I love about this day and this couple and this session. We put out a model call on instagram & facebook for a couple to model for us while we were on the Olympic Coastline for another shoot. We wanted to use more of our time out there, and we hoping to squeeze an engagement shoot at one of our favorite places: Cape Flattery. I’m so happy these two were able to do it! They drove all the heck out to the edge of the state for this styled engagement shoot, and even though our epic coastline views got socked in by rolling coastal fog, they were such good sports and had such a good time. It turns out, Cape Flattery is one of *their* favorite places and it means a lot to them as a couple, so they were overjoyed to wander around it again. We shot along the cape, enjoying fog and all, until the sun went down.
I wasn’t quite ready to call it a day yet, so we then we headed back towards the beach where we were all staying for the nigh,t and shot all the way through dusk. Even after it was so dark I could hardly see, we kept shooting. As we were wrapping up & piling back into our car, I saw the mist rolling in front of the headlights and wanted to try something a little wild. I remembered seeing the genius session that Eden Strader shot lit by car headlights and I was inspired to try it out! I had Devon throw on the fog lights on our Subaru, and Becca & Alex were good enough sports to indulge me for a few last photos. Finally, after a few last shots that made me happy dance with excitement, we called it a day and headed back to the cabin for the night.
