It's here! This three day, spectacular Oregon destination wedding extravaganza is finally blogged and I'm SO EXCITED to share! Since there was just too much goodness, I broke it up into two blog posts, so this post is the first two days of our weekend we spent down in Oregon for Cassy & Viva's wedding, and you can find part two here.
This sweet couple booked us over a year and a half before their wedding, back before we had even rebranded as Forthright Photo (I know, ages ago, right?). They're also wonderfully talented wedding photographers in California, where they're from, and they had such a beautiful vision for their wedding day, a destination celebration deep in the Oregon forest surrounded by their loved ones, and we were so honored to be a part of it all.
Cassy bought her gorgeous Rue de Seine gown almost two years before the wedding! She knew exactly the minute she saw it, and built her wedding day vision around it. Cassy is a thrifting, DIY queen, and every single piece of the decor was bought from thrift stores, garage sales, Goodwill, facebook marketplace, and collected over two years to make their wedding day as personal and beautiful as possible. She even made the decal on her personalized bridal leather jacket! The stunning florals by Passionflower Design were perfection, the lovely Becky from Event Crush made sure everything ran smoothly, and Dominic from Bouquet Sound, was an old friend of Cassy & Viva and also probably the best DJ we've ever had the privilege of grooving with.
The first day was a traditional Laotian wedding, thrown by Viva's friends and family, followed by a brunch reception in the lodge at Camp Lane. The second day was their big Western wedding with all their guests, with magicians, smoke bombs, Voodoo Donuts, lots of tears, laughter, good barbeque and dancing. I really cannot summarize how amazing this Oregon destination wedding was, or how much fun we had with these two and their wonderfully kind, fun-loving bridal party, so I'm just gonna let the photos speak for themselves.
After a long night of dancing and good times, we met back up the next afternoon for their day after session at a stunning waterfall tucked back in the forest!
