A few weeks ago, I had the chance to attend Wander Workshop, which is a really rad retreat for other fellow outdoors-minded babes, who are all either PNW elopement photographers currently, or are working towards it. As a part of the workshop, we got a chance to shoot at one of my favorite Northwest spots: the North Cascades. We had an amazing bridal shoot put together with amazing foraged florals by Brier & Ivy, and a gorgeous gown a by Reclamation Design Company. (We even managed to snag the sweet husky Coda for a few shots, who is far more insta-famous than you or I will ever be!) We had a sweet, real life married couple come out from Seattle and model for us, Amanda & Daniel. They were so sweet, fun, and such good sports about the rain & cold and the dozen photographers directing them. They wore these amazing matching brown leather boots, which was the sweetest touch. We shot for a bit at the top of the lookout, with its stunning views of Davis Peak and the surrounding North Cascades before heading down to the shore of the lake. The lake is famous for its bright powder blue color when viewed on a sunny day, but from the shore it really looks more like this gorgeous turqoise-teal, which was its own kind of beautiful. It was awesome chatting with other babes who run their own wedding photography businesses from as far away as Florida and making new friends while in such a beautiful location.
