While our original plan was to go for an overnight backpacking adventure deep into the Cascades in search of golden larches & towering peaks, an early and rather ferocious fall storm meant that we would have been shivering in sub-freezing temperatures and probably stuck in a big, foggy cloud soup at the top of our hike. So we decided to call an audible, and meet up with these two at Discovery Park in Seattle instead, close to their home. It was certainly a different kind of scenery than we had planned, but the golden colors of the fall were still present all the same, and matched Veronica's satin yellow dress beautifully. We also lucked out with beautiful clear skies and lingering warm weather, which made for a great evening in one of Seattle's best parks.
