Jamie & Wilson got married on a very chilly, rainy October day during an unseasonal early cold snap that saw temperatures dip into the 40s and 30s! It was not exactly early October weather for your typical Leavenworth wedding, but these two handled the day in perfect stride.
They got ready at the nearby Dirtyface Lodge, had their first look on the shores of Lake Wenatchee, and made sure to snuggle with their adorable pup for a few minutes before heading over to one of our favorite venues of all time, Brown's Family Homestead for their wedding day. The fall foliage was in full, blazing, glorious color, and it made the perfect accompaniment to the bright floral design they chose for their day. It definitely added some welcome pops of color to the gray skies and chilly weather, and made their wonderfully decorated wedding tent all the cozier.
They held their ceremony indoors, due to the weather, but that didn't stop Jamie & her dad from entering the ceremony in his vintage, blue convertible. One of my favorite design elements from their wedding was the custom art print that their Wilson's best man had design for them, a wonderful blend of PNW landscapes that perfectly encapsulated who Jamie & Wilson are as a couple. They're welcoming, warm, elegant, and very kind.
After the ceremony and some portraits out in the gorgeous fall scenery, they danced the night away, keeping warm and cozy, miniature pies and hot apple cider in hand while the rain poured down outside. Leavenworth weddings are some of our favorites to shoot, and visiting Karen and Hannah, the wonderful duo who run Brown Family Homestead, is something we always look forward to. We were lucky enough to shoot there three times this past season and it never fails to be amazing.
