Mt Baker Vow Renewal

Bryanne & Reed brought along two good friends and their very adorable pup Meeko for their simple, beautiful vow renewal on Mt Baker. This evening was one of my favorites this year, and a great reminder that an awesome ceremony or vow renewal doesn't need to be flashy, or big, or have a lot of details or moving pieces. It just needs to include two people, and their promises to each other, (although the incredibly gorgeous sunset and views really didn't hurt either). Bryanne & Reed had a courthouse ceremony earlier this year, but decided they wanted a time to exchange more personal vows in a place reflective of what they love together as a way to commemorate their marriage & surviving the crazy year of 2020 together. They said their vows with incredible sun-rays all around, popped some champagne to celebrate, and had some snuggles with their dog as the sun went down. It was a perfect evening out on the mountain, and we were treated to a show of the sun setting on the peaks all around us. On our hike back in twilight, we saw the moon rising over Baker Lake, herds of mountain goats high above us on the craigs, and even saw my favorite little PNW creature of all time: the pika!! Plus I got lots of snuggles from their sweet pup Meeko, who decided to befriend me immediately and frequently wanted me to quit taking photos and pet her instead (of course I obliged, obviously). This Mt Baker vow renewal was a great highlight of our summer season and one of my favorite sessions we did all year!
