It’s far from a secret that Mt. Spokane is one of my very favorite places. It’s open, always gorgeous, easy to get to, has some of the best views within a 100 miles, and it’s never crowded (for some reason I’ll never understand, we practically have the entire mountain top to ourselves every time we go). We met these two for the first time at the end of a pretty hazy, cloudy day, just a few days before their destination wedding in Coeur d’Alene. They’d come up from Texas and were hoping for some big, beautiful, PNW mountain views at sunset. Melissa had just finished up her wedding trial hair & makeup run with Shasta Hankins earlier that day, so she made a few adjustments from her wedding day look for her engagement session. Even though it was gloomy overhead, I was holding out hope that the weather might turn, and we got lucky! The smoke from nearby fires had mostly cleared out and by the end of the evening, we had a gorgeous Mt. Spokane sunset. It was windy, and a little cold for these Texas lovebirds, but we had a blast soaking in the blue mountains and getting to know these two before their busy wedding weekend kicked off.
