Fall
Summer
The busiest time of the year for the North Cascades, as Larch Madness takes over in October! People come from all over to experience the alpine larch trees turning a bright golden hue, creating a spectacular fall foliage show. Plus with drier weather, it can be a great place to escape the rain.
The driest, sunniest time of year in the North Cascades, the flowers are blooming, the snow is gone in the alpine, and it's sunny blue skies and long summer days, making it a great time to elope with so many daylight hours to work with. Plus, the stargazing is amazing out here.

Winter
Spring
The North Cascades Highway closes for winter, but that doesn't mean you can't get out into the park during the winter time! The whole Methow Valley has incredible skiing and snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and Stehekin is always accessible via ferry boat for a secluded winter retreat too.
An underappreciated time of year in the North Cascades, spring time here is actually one of my favorites! While the high alpine is still very snowy, the lakes, rivers, and meadows are brimming with beautiful colors, wildflowers galore, and not many visitors at all.

What About Guests?

What About PETS?
Do We Need a Permit?
How Do We avoid Crowds?

CAn we reserve a trail or overlook?
Where should we elope?
This is a tough one, because I love so many places in the North Cascades! However, my very tippy top favorites in the North Cascades for elopements are the very easternmost, very northernmost parts of the range. Mazama, Winthrop, the Pasayten Wilderness, Stehekin, and the northernmost portion of the Pacific Crest Trail are my favorite go-to places for elopements.

Since many parts of the park are far away from a town, the two keys for success when it comes to a North Cascades elopement food are: getting creative and planning ahead! From making a meal together in your vacation rental, packing a mountainside picnic, having a cookout at a campground, or grabbing a bite at a local restaurant, there's lots of ways to make sure your elopement day is delicious from start to finish.

The North Cascades has some of the very best backcountry scenery in all of Washington (and the whole Pacific Northwest). While there are plenty of physically demanding backpacking destinations, there's also plenty of easy, beginner level backpacking spots in the North Cascades that we really love for a true North Cascades elopement experience, with incredible night skies, total quiet, and just majestic mountains for miles and miles around.

"It felt like we were hanging out in our wedding clothes on a beautiful mountain with two friends, chatting it up. I honestly forgot half the time that they were taking pictures of us; it felt so natural and easy."
We strive to make having your photo taken the least weird experience possible. We get it, fellow introverts. You love the outdoors, you love the idea of an adventurous wedding or elopement, maybe you even like the idea of having beautiful photos of you and your partner, but actually being -in- those photos? That just gives you the cold sweats. No worries, we know that feeling. That's where we come in.
