Oregon Trip

We ended up with a cancellation for the most popular wedding date of the year (August 18th), and so we decided to make the most of our unexpectedly free weekend and take the trip down to the Oregon coast. It was my first time going, and it did not disappoint! I loved every minute, and I cannot wait to come back here for more elopements, shoots, and pure Pacific magic in the future. The enchanting combination of fog, clouds, and ocean was exactly what I needed to recharge before fall wedding season. We stopped at Hug Point, Oswald West, Cape Meares, and a few other places, but our favorite spot was a quiet beach outside of Cape Meares that requires just enough adventure to guaranteed we’d have the place to ourselves. If any one wants to elope there someday, we’ll gladly take you back! 😉 We had the chance to have our anniversary photos taken at Cape Kiwanda (which is why I didn’t take any of there myself), but those will be a whole separate blog post! For now, enjoy lots of our beach snaps & pictures of Simon, our pup. Given how excited he was (and how very confused he was about how salt water works), we’re pretty sure it was his first time at the ocean, and he had an absolute blast! For all my fellow outdoor adventuring photographer ladies, I got my first pair of Tevas for this trip, and I will swear by them. Best sandals I’ve ever owned, and if you’re cool rocking the comfy gramma style for hikes & shooting (see also: my entire wardrobe), these are for you.
