Washington Adventure Elopement & Wedding Packages

All our packages include the following: one or two photographers, personalized location scouting, timeline and planning help, client-only resource guides filled with tips, helpful suggestions, and ideas, an online gallery, full resolution edited photos, unlimited downloads, personal printing rights, and of course, plenty of our nerdy nature facts.

Our specialty in adventure, backcountry, unconventional, and multi-day weddings of all sizes. We’ve been doing this for over a decade, and we're totally comfortable being your wedding officiant, photographers, and only marriage witnesses all rolled into one, or helping you find ways to include guests or family members in your wedding celebrations if you want other guests present too. Because we have experience working with groups both big and small, we've got the planning, expertise, vendor connections, and knowledge to help you include your loved ones as a part of your celebration without sacrificing the experience (or the environment!) in the process.

A warm, friendly helping hand (or two) from start to finish. We’ll help you put in your veil, bustle your dress, pin your boutinierre, tie your tie/bowtie, check your hair, tie your shoes, remind you to hydrate, carry your bouquet, wrangle your dog, organize your family photos, keep things running on time, while making sure you and your guests get out and back from hikes safely. Anything you need to borrow from our vault of extra adventure/outdoor/wedding/emergency supplies? Let us know! We’ve got extra umbrellas, twinkle lights, microspikes, headlamps, changing tents, bandaids, safety pins, tissues, handwarmers, dress tape, tide pens, trekking poles, and honestly way too much stuff to list out here.

  8. assistance in getting any permits (for national parks, state parks, or other public lands that require it) and your marriage license application (where how and when to apply)
  9. officiating your legal ceremony We are both ordained through the Universal Life Church, and if you’d like we are happy to act as your officiant, and can fulfill all the legal requirements for your ceremony.
  10. suggestions for local conservation orgs in the region of your wedding that you can donate to, with the knowledge that your celebration will be giving back to the very same place you said your vows.

ADVENTURE SESSIONS

For anniversaries, engagements, proposals, or just for the helluvit: you're looking for an incredible spot to make some fun memories and get some great photos together with your partner, in your favorite place: the outdoors, of course! Maybe you want to head to your typical post out at the local lake, want an overnight backpacking trip documented for all time, or just want some gorgeous portraits for fun at an incredible hike you've been wanting to get to: we love a chance to hang out & photograph folks in all different phases of love & life.

Sign your contract, and pay your 30% deposit to secure your date! After booking, you'll receive access to tons of helpful client-only resources and guides.

What about the weather? Will you reschedule if it rains?
We love the PNW in all her moods, and I'm sure you will too! The weather here is rather famously variable, and the rain and clouds are necessary for this gorgeous temperate rainforest climate to exist and thrive. For you, the quickest way to ensure a great experience for your day is to let go of perfection, have fun, and embrace the weather. Unless there's hazardous weather, we'll be embracing the beautiful misty mountains and rain soaked forests and having some fun right along with you.

If you have your heart set on a certain type of weather for your session, please let us know! We're happy to talk with you about it and create a plan together for your best chances of success.

Will you help us pick a location?
Of course! We love helping folks find new places to explore, and we've got tons of amazing locations up our sleeves! Once you're booked, we'll send you a short questionnaire asking about your location preferences (what type of scenery you'd like to have, how much hiking you want to do, etc.)

Then we'll work up a short list of location favorites for you and your partner to choose from that will be the perfect fit for your plans, vision, and goals for your wedding day.

What if we are awkward in photos?
It's a near-universal feeling to be nervous or apprehensive about being photographed. Feeling awkard when the camera is pointed towards you is 1000% a totally normal human experience. So, firstly, take a deep breath, and remember you're not weird, and you're not alone.

Our primary mantra is this: it's your job to get married and have fun, and it's our job to make you look good while you do! We try our very hardest to make being photographed as fun, painless, and unpretentious as we can.

Our best advice for getting great photos out of your experience is to actually try not to think about the photos too much (counterintuitive, I know). Take some deep breaths, focus on the moment, focus on your partner, and focus on having a damn blast getting married. You'll forget we're even there and you'll look amazing, we promise.
How many photos will we get? How are they delivered?
It all depends on a few things, including which package you book, but in general, we deliver around 600-1000 images for a wedding, and around 100-250 images for an adventure session. Most are delivered in black and white as well as color, with a few exceptions for odd lighting and personal taste. You'll receive a link to your gallery via email, and from your gallery, you'll be able to download your photos in full resolution, as well as web size, and be able to share your images with all your family and friends.
Do you travel outside of WA State?
HELL yeah, we do! While Washington is our favorite place and we have decades of local experience here, we do really enjoy working in other places where we have travelled extensively and have a great grasp on the topography, weather, culture, and landscape to ensure a top knotch experience for our couples that only knowledge and experience of the local area can provide.

Our favorite places to travel to for weddings are definitely Alaska and Utah. However, we have also travelled to and photographed weddings in states all over the greater west coast, including Idaho, Montana, Colorado, Oregon, California, and Hawaii.
Do we have to hike for our photos?
Although hiking is a big part of what we do and why we love to do it, we also realize that not everyone has the ability to hike. While the majority of folks we work with will do at least a short distance of hiking, we firmly believe the outdoors is for everyone. If hiking just isn't your thing, or if you have different accessibility needs, there are lots of beautiful outdoor places that do not require hiking to access.

Also, it can always help to use your imagination to find different ways to recreate in the outdoors for your elopement or adventure wedding experience if hiking isn't accessible for you or your guests. You can kayak, bike, sail, ski, helicopter, snowmobile, horseback ride, 4x4… you get the idea. As long as the wild beautiful outdoors are in the mix, you can count us in!
Can you be our elopement officiant or witness?
Absolutely, we'd be happy to! While we won't be able to offer the same level of officiating as someone who specializes in that area, we are ordained through the Universal Life Church, and conduct the legally required bits of your ceremony if you'd like. We're also happy to sign as witnesses on your marriage certificate if needed. Please reach out to chat with us directly if you've got more questions about the legal paperwork side of eloping.
