I hope you guys have settled in for a long blog post, because this day was so jam packed with beautiful details & gorgeous landscapes it was very hard to pick my favorites. This was our big, end-of-season project working with a ton of very talented, wonderful people. I’ve always loved the Snoqualmie Pass area, particularly Lake Kacheelus. It’s always been so enticing & beautiful as we drive by it on i-90, and ever since shooting a gorgeous vow renewal there last December, I knew I wanted to come back. While planning, we knew we wanted our shoot to feel more like a retreat and less like a workday, so we rented a big, gorgeous A-frame cabin for everyone to share. We hung out and talked late into the night and bonded over some coffee & breakfast the next morning. It was such a wonderful contrast to busy, hectic shoot schedules with a bunch of strangers all trying to work together for the first time; I think we might plan all of our shoots this way because everyone loved it so much. After creating a cozy, fireplace lounge reception that was almost too pretty for words, the team packed up and headed out to the Lake Kacheelus lakebed, where we transformed some tree stumps into a magical woodland aisleway. The weather played along as smoothly as I could have dreamt of, and we made so many new friends by the end of the day it truly felt too good to be a workday at all.
