My wonderful sweet friend was in the Lisbon area with her equally wonderful boyfriend when my sister Candice and I were there for our trip! So of course I forced them to model for me for an evening, because if we’re friends, I’ll probably force you to model for me at some point (sorry, not sorry).
I’ve known Anjani since high school, but we hadn’t seen each other in years and I was so happy I finally got to meet her long-distance love, Valentin, who is from France. They are a perfect pair together, and we got some great sangria at a local beachside bar outside of Oeiras (probably a little too much sangria, but it was delicious, haha!) and we wandered around at a beach outside of Lisbon as the sun set. It was a crowded weekend at the beach since it was right before Carnival and the weather was warm, but we were able to dodge most of the crowds by waiting until the sun was almost all the way down. We wandered out to the rocks next to a historic fort, the Forte du São Julião da Barra and along the beach boardwalk as the stars came out before heading back to their apartment for some friggin delicious curry (Anjani is an amazing cook, even though she will insist otherwise).
It was so great seeing them and I am so happy I got to shoot a little bit of couple’s work on our trip! I really cannot wait to go back to Portugal, and if anyone has any dreams of eloping or having a destination wedding amongst the magical castles or towering coastlines or Portugal, take us with you!!!
