Destination Wedding in Tillamook State Forest, Oregon

Anna & Derrick had family from all over the West Coast come together for their celebration in Oregon. They picked the Smith Homestead at Tillamook Forest Learning Center because they loved the PNW forest vibes, the gorgeous newly constructed cabin, and because it was a good halfway point between their two hometowns: Alaska & California. This was just one of the wonderful Tillamook forest weddings in Oregon we shot this summer, and we love every chance we get to return.

The amazing Madison August events pulled together a beautiful day for them, styling and dressing the gorgeous remote cabin in florals. They said their vows with all their closest friends and family overlooking the Wilson River, surrounded by the Tillamook Forest, and danced all night long. Derrick is a break dancer, as are many of his friends, so there were so amazing dance moves aplenty. The homemade pies were made by one of Anna's bridesmaids, and the tables were decorated with their favorite books. Anna & Derrick told me they had most of their closest friends as bridesmaids and groomsmen so that they would be one hundred percent sure they would be there to enjoy the day with them! So while we had a big ol bridal party, it was still a super lovely, intimate wedding.
