Megan & Jordan's engagement session in the Central Washington desert was so fun, and we had such a blast getting to know these two that we already knew that they had an amazing wedding planned. They're both obsessed with great design, and since Megan is an interior designer and Jordan is an architect, we knew that they would have nothing less than a stunningly beautiful celebration for their Zephyr Lodge wedding. And they did not disappoint! They created a custom wedding logo using their two initials that was the touchstone of their wedding decor. They built their gorgeous geometric arch at home, and picked an amazing gem of a venue, which was recently refurbished and had all the bright, quirky, clean designs that Megan & Jordan love. They gave out hot sauce favors to all their guests (they have a love affair with Cholula hot sauce that outstrips even mine). Megan bought all the rugs for their boho dance floor herself, they designed and made all the signage themselves too! They had all their nearest and dearest celebrate with them in classic summer-on-the-lake fashion.
Jordan's family has always summer get-aways on the lake, so of course a waterfront venue made perfect sense for their celebration. After a night of dinner and dancing, they had a sparkler exit with Jordan's family boat for their get-away vehicle. After a quick sunset trip around the lake, they headed back to the lodge for an epic after-party with all their guests who were staying for the weekend.

For their first look, we scouted around and while there was some gorgeous woodland on the lodge's property, I am a bit of a perfectionist (not shocking to literally anyone who has met me) and I knew there were mountains and Liberty Lake hiding nearby, so Devon and I took to the hills (literally) and drove down dirt roads until we found the perfect spot for their first look: an overlook surrounded by blue mountains, scattered pine trees, tons of summer wildflowers, and not another soul in sight. It was meant to be, and only 3 minutes from their venue! So, like the champions they are, they agreed to pile into our dusty Subaru and drive down some strange gravel roads for their first look, and I love them so much for it. It was one of my favorite first looks, there were obviously tons of tears and Megan and Jordan were just so incredibly stoked to see each other for the first time that day.
There was so much laughter during this day, a lot of sweet, adorable tears, hilarious hijinks thanks to their super fun, big bridal party, and a wedding license that Megan & Jordan discovered they had forgotten at home! Luckily Devon is awesome and the sweetest, so he drove to their house in Spokane Valley to pick it up for them, crisis averted! They trusted us so much with their day, and really let us capture them and their whole family as they truly are together, and it was such a privilege to be a part of.
